19 Aug 2020 - We would like to bring your attention to the above matter and update you on the status of the China Special Channel Initiative.

In a parliamentary reply in the Dewan Rakyaton 13th August 2020, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) stated that Malaysia Investment Development Authority’s (MIDA) as Malaysia’s one-stop centre and investment promotion agency, will now lead the China Special Channel (CSC) initiatives.

This is keeping in-line with MIDA’s mandate to promote Malaysia’s investment and coordinate promotional strategies.

Moving forward, InvestKL’s Investor Relations China Team will focus on attracting high quality services investment from Chinese multinational companies (MNCs) in line with InvestKL’s core mandate of attracting large MNCs, unicorns and fast-growing companies to setup their regional hubs in Greater Kuala Lumpur.
